Lifted Moment 4: Attention Mean Care

Hey everybody. Its Reggie. Have you every thought why you might not be getting what you deserve. In this supersonic world that we live in were everything was needed yesterday. We tend to disassociate ourselves from the world and the people in it. Many books have been written on time management in order for us to make better use of time and prioritize the importance of tasks at hand. Our lives have been reduced to a blind mechanical processes. We already have lost the human interaction of talking to people with the advent of smart phones, text messaging and high speed Internet email. I'm not saying these forms of communication are not necessary additions to our communication arsenal but there is a generation growing up not understanding the true value of communicating with emotion, void of feeling. How many people do you know write hand written letters it has become an lost art. I would like to introduce the AMC program "Attention Means Care". If you are attentive, things cannot get overlooked. You can stop things by virtue of your own attention and vs versa you can create an abundance of what you desire.

What's wrong with what we eat?

Hey everybody, Its Reggie. Within the past 6 months I have made many significant changes to my life. One great change is choosing what I put into my body, in doing so I have lost 20+ lbs and 5% body fat. I have increased my energy 10 fold and I am in the best physical condition since my 20's. Chef and author Mark Bittman shares his 30 years of cooking and eating knowledge with us at the 2007 TED talks conference. I hope you enjoy this insightful conversation.

Just a thought VIIII: Control of your Drama

Hey everybody, Its Reggie. Do you know you are the creator of all your dramas. You can create good drama or bad drama, but you have to take responsibility for whatever you create. There is never a period in your life that you are a victim. You can just walk out and say "Goodbye, I cant take this misery any more." This action is sometimes easier said than done. Why? Because we procrastinate. We talk about the stress and misery that's in life. And all the talk leads to nothing but more stress and unhappiness. Making one excuse after another for not being happy. When you become one with your inner knowing the decisions become real, fear no longer plays a role in your decision making process. Finding your inner self is more than a secret plan to action but a life long comment to yourself. Your life depends on the change this will happen if you are in control of it or not.

Lifted Moment 3: Community Grounds

Hey everybody, Its Reggie. And I very excited about my community composting project working with my local park and neighbors, to collect compostable materials from their homes and deposit that waste into a large compost receptacle in the park or local gardens this plastic compost pail is perfect for collecting food and vegetable scraps in the kitchen to take out to your composter. It holds up to 9.6 quarts of scraps and has a carbon filter to remove any odors. It has an attractive design that will look great next to or under your kitchen sink. Aren't you sold. Click the link in the sidebar. Soon to be posted a DIY version of this compost collector that I use. Be on the look out for the Reggie DIY posts.

Just a thought VIII

There are no random events, nor are there events or things that exist by and for themselves, in isolation. Zen saying: "The snow falls, each flake in its appropriate place".

Know ThySelf

by Alexander Pope

Know then thyself, presume not God to scan;
The proper study of mankind is Man.
Placed on this isthmus of a middle state,
A being darkly wise and rudely great:
With too much knowledge for the Sceptic side,
With too much weakness for the Stoic's pride,
He hangs between; in doubt to act or rest,
In doubt to deem himself a God or Beast,
In doubt his mind or body to prefer;
Born but to die, and reasoning but to err;
Alike in ignorance, his reason such
Whether he thinks too little or too much:
Chaos of thought and passion, all confused;
Still by himself abused, or disabused;
Created half to rise and half to fall;
Great lord of all things, yet a prey to all;
Sole judge of truth, in endless error hurled:
The glory, jest, and riddle of the world!
